GMG Games - Quarantine Style!
After all this time in quarantine, people everywhere are getting creative on how to connect with friends and family. From parking lot parties to virtual happy hour, we’re all just trying to not lose touch with those we love; not to mention, to stay SANE!
On our end, we’ve been experimenting with how we can re-work our adult and trivia games into quarantine games that can be played over a video call (with an added drinking component, if that’s your thing!). Here’s what we’ve come up with so far:
RIDICULOUS EXPOSITIONS
How to Play:
The concept for playing Badmoji online can also be applied to Ridiculous Exposotions. The presenter shows the card to the players, each with a point value of somewhere between 1-3. Whoever calls out the correct meaning of the card the fastest earns that many points, and/or gets to “hand out” the number of drinks equivalent to the point value of the card.
Here is a fun video example of Ridiculous Expositions - Happy Hour Edition!
YOU BET-CHA!
How to Play:
To play the virtual version of You-Betcha!, the presenter simply will call out the prompts to each player, time them, and then after review the answers and figure out who got the most answers correct. The person who does this, wins!
Example: Joe, the presenter, tells everyone to name as many NBA teams as they can in 30 seconds. Sam comes up with 15 answers, but two of them are wrong. Alena comes up with 14 correct answers, so she wins the round.
The winner can choose to hand out drinks, or for a family friendly version choose a fun prize! For example, the winner could get to choose the first outing after quarantine.
THE GAME OF WOLF
How to Play:
The Game of Wolf can be played as normal if each player has a partner that is in the same household as them. If not, you can play with the same concept as You Bet-Cha! The presenter asks each player the 5 questions on the card. Whoever gets the most correct, wins!
The winner can choose to hand out drinks, or for a family friendly version choose a fun prize! For example, the winner could get to choose the first outing after quarantine.
Good luck, and happy playing!
